Location
This traditional farmhouse sits nestled in the countryside close to the village of Doon just 50 minutes from Shannon Airport, 25 km from Limerick City, 16 km from Tipperary town, and 25 km from the Glen of Aherlow. Within a 1 hour drive, you have the Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, Lough Gur Visitor Centre, and in Limerick City, St. John's castle and an open air market every Saturday morning. This makes Carrigmore Farm a great touring base near the main road leading to many surrounding attractions in Limerick, Tipperary and Clare. Its just 10 km to the Limerick Junction Railway station where you can take a day trip to Dublin, Cork, Galway, or Waterford.
From Doon drive south on R507 for about 2 miles/3.3 km. Go over a bridge, past an old Creamery on the left. Take the first left and drive 1.3 mile/2.2 km to the first right. Take a sharp right, drive down a laneway past a farm building on the left. Take a left turn directly after the farm buildings. Follow the avenue down to Carrigmore farm.
From Limerick or Tipperary on N24. Take R507 North at the sign toward Doon between Pallasgreen and Oola. Drive north on R507 until you see a sign on your left hand side for Castletown graveyard. Take the right just after this - the 4th right. Drive 1.3 mile/2.2 km to the first right. Take a sharp right, drive down a laneway past farm building on the left. Take a left turn directly after the farm buildings. Follow the avenue down to Carrigmore farm.
